This month, let’s discover One Planet Principles, a simple framework for integrating sustainability and improving your business with Ben Gill

Everyone knows that you need a sustainability strategy – but what should you be doing, how can you track your performance and most importantly how do we know what we are doing is good enough?

One Planet Living uses ecological footprinting and carbon footprinting as its headline indicators.  It is based on ten guiding principles of sustainability as a framework. Bioregional, the organisation behind the One Planet Living initiative are developing an online platform to allow organisations and projects to; develop sustainability strategies, monitor and report on progress and get a third party review if required.

The One Planet Initiative has been used in property development, by municipalities and private companies. The new platform is particularly aimed at smaller companies and projects, and also for NGOs.
