We’ve all experienced setbacks and challenging situations at work which, despite our best intentions, we may struggle to resolve. Wouldn’t it be great to have a different way of relating to work, finding ways to move beyond disagreement that don’t involve overpowering, avoidance, or self-sacrifice?
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a process developed by Marshall Rosenberg which can help manage difficult situations through compassionate self-awareness and empathic connection with others. In the workplace, it can lead to more authentic connection, enabling conflict resolution and collaboration.
NVC@Impact Hub is an interactive space to give and receive empathy related to real-life work experiences, offered by Senovio Shish and NVC Geneva on a free trial basis.
Format: After a brief introduction to nonviolent communication (NVC) and Q&A, participants will be invited to share a challenging work experience and engage in dialogue with the facilitator who will demonstrate empathy. Depending on the number of participants and skill level, we may divide the group into multiple empathy groups.
