The Winning Teams of June 2015

EXODESURBAINS
The Port1
THE Port hackathon is aimed at bringing a diverse range of expertise together to tackle humanitarian problems as put forwards by organisations working on the frontline of humanitarian aid situations around the world. The objective is to bring people from a diverse range of backgrounds, locations and expertise together to apply their collective knowledge and problem solving to problems faced by organisations working in the humanitarian sector. The Port hackathon brings both broad technical and organisational expertise together with frontline workers in the humanitarian sector in to propose innovative and robust solutions to problems experienced firsthand during operations.
Sustainabum
Sustainabum's vision is a world where everyone use sustainable products, produce no waste and consume few resources. The first step of this vision is to reduce diaper waste and resource use in Europe and North America by providing beautiful, reliable, one-size-fits-all cloth diapers to consumers. Each kid goes through 5'500 disposable diapers on average leading to extra waste and pollution in landfills and pressure on the waste collection system. Using Sustain a Bum cloth diapers prevents diapers waste so parents can make the good choice for their baby's health, their wallet and the planet!
LENID1
